That seems normal. If you are fine with no cellular service and desire to use the mobile device for other purposes such as music, camera, and WiFi, then your good to go!

yes i called att and they wouldnt give me an unlock code even though i have had service with the for a long time now. Is there anyway i could get an unlock code without calling them and paying for it?

well what ii need help with is the applications lock ii don’t know how to unlock it because wen ii enter the code it say incorrect password for a samsung a797

Alex, I would recommend trying one of the unlock services listed on this page, as they can provide you with an unlock code since you cannot call AT&T. Good luck :)

hey, when i try to enter the code it doesnt work. it says ‘phone lock’ at the top of the screen and only lets me enter 8 numbers. when i try to type in the # sign it says ’4 to 8 digits required’. and ive tried my at&t PUK code, it says incorrect password.

HI nessa. Glad to hear your Samsung Flight A797 was successfully unlocked. As far as improving your service with the carrier, that is really dependent on them and where they are cell phone towers located at. I would reccomend turning off your Samsung Flight and powering it back on after a little while. Usually this will cause the phone to look for new cell phone tower’s aka access points around. This should hopefully refersh your phone’s listing of towers and get you better service. Otherwise I would suggest just calling up your phone carriers support number and telling them this.
