An unlocked Motorola Shadow will work on GSM carrier. Unlocking a Motorola Shadow requires an unlock code and only a few minutes of your patience! First off, although many websites and phone sources are offering unlocked Motorola Shadows already, none of them actually have the phone yet. This is because the Shadow has not been officially released as of now. However, this does not stop us from writing an unlocking guide and instructions that should help you attain an unlocked version of the cell phone when you do end up buying it :). Anyway, the free instructions below should allow you to unlock any Motorola GSM smartphone, but should be taken as entertainment value, as we have obviously not tested these yet. Enjoy!
How To Unlock Motorola Shadow
1. Reboot your phone with an unaccepted SIM card in.
*If the display reads “Enter Special Code”, enter the unlock code and press “OK”
*If the display does not read “Enter Special code”:
2. Press and hold the * key until an entry box is displayed.
3. Type *, #, 3, 2, # and press “OK”
4. Enter your Motorola unlock code and press “OK.”
5. Your Motorola phone should now display either “Completed” or
“Deleted”
