Review released on November 29th, 2009 by Derek

Samsung Behold 2 T939 UnlockedUnlocking a Samsung Behold 2 T939 only takes a few steps. To unlock the Samsung Behold 2 T939 mobile phone you will need an unlock code to remove the SIM lock. By default all GSM or SIM based Samsung phone models have a SIM lock enabled that will prevent you from using the mobile phone with any other carrier then the original one. By removing the SIM lock you may use your Samsung Behold 2 T939 on any phone carrier’s network.

It is possible to get a free unlock code for your Samsung Behold 2 T939 if you call up your phone carrier and request one. If they will not give you one, you will need to use an unlock code generator or possibly pay for one from an online vendor. However you decide to go about getting an your Behold 2′s unlock code you will first need your mobile phone’s IMEI number. Your IMEI number is unique to your Samsung T939 and will be used to directly calculate your unlocking code. You can find your IMEI number simply by typing *#06# and hitting enter.

Once you have an unlock code you can use the free unlock instructions below. If you are looking to unlock the Samsung Behold T919 and not the Behold 2, then go here.

1. Power on your Samsung mobile phone without the SIM card in.
2. Type #7465625*638*
3. Enter your Samsung unlock code
4. Type #
5. If worked, phone should say “Network Lock Deactivated”
6. Your Samsung phone may automatically reboot.

Comment on "Unlock Samsung Behold 2 T939"

  1. justinsyndicate says:

I purchased an unlock code for my T939. Using the entry method here yielded no result. I had to power the unit up with the my AT&T SIM card and enter the unlock code at the prompt.

Though I can now make and receive calls/text messages, data/picture messaging do not work.

Any suggestions on what I am overlooking?

    Thank you.

  2. J says:

the reason you cannot get your data to work is because the data connection is still locked to the original carrier. I don’t know if it was the carrier, Samsung or google that decided this, but they have removed the menu entry to allow the user to go and select which data connection they want to use.

Kind of makes this phone useless in my opinion.

  3. justinsyndicate says:

I did get the data connection reconfigured for AT&Ts WAP network. My next problem is the ‘In Call’ menu. I cannot get any of the options to respond while a call is in place – speakerphone/contacts/mute/keypad et c. Makes entering options on automated phone systems impossible. Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Justin
