The Nokia Surge 6790 is the newest of Nokia’s SIM card phones. Unlocking a Nokia Surge 6790 is completely free once you have acquired an unlock code from AT&T. However, before we begin if you are unfamiliar with the Nokia Surge 6790, then check out this review from CNET. Once you unlock the SIM restriction on your Nokia Surge, you will be able to use it with any phone carrier. Anyway, the Nokia Surge 6790 is a great phone and has some very impressive specifications.
Before we start, you will need an unlock code for your Nokia Surge 6790 phone. You should be able to get a free unlock code from AT&T or whoever your phone carrier is. In exchange, they will request your phone’s IMEI number. You can get the IMEI number off your Nokia Surge easily, by typing *#06#. 2. Enter your unlock code
3. Now type +1#
4. Your Nokia Surge 6790 should say “SIM Restriction Off”
