3. Dear Chris, unlocking your Nokia N97 Mini will require an unlock code if you wish to remove the SIM lock in this fashion. I suggest calling up your phone carrier and requesting one. If they dont give you one, you can either choose to pay for one online or check out some unlocking software. Sometimes YouTube is a nice place to look for unlock guides as well. Good luck!

5. Hey cane, you should be able to use the touchscreen dialer pad on the Nokia N97 Mini. For example, hitting the number 7 key twice should bring up the P, etc. Otherwise, the slide out keypad should work too. Hope this helps and good luck!

7. Kyetra, please ensure you have the correct master unlock code. It is also possible it is already unlocked, you can check this by tying: #pw+1234567890+1#

   Note: If your phone displays code error, do not repeat this process continually, as it could lock your phone up

15. Adrian, you will want to insert your new (unaccepted) SIM card into your Nokia N97 Mini. Once powering up your phone it may just automatically request your unlock code to remove the SIM lock. However, if it doesn’t then just follow the steps provided above in the guide. Also note, make sure you have a “good” unlock code, as entering 3 or more incorrect unlock codes at this time, could put a security lock (which is different then SIM lock) on the card and will make it much harder to unlock. Therefore, I would first recommend calling up your phone carrier to see if they can provide you with one. If you do not meet their contract requirements or this will not work in your scenario, then I suggest getting one from this website, since they support many types of cell phones and have heard of people having a lot of success there. 32. Curious: what happens if the imei is blocked by a certain provider in the country? are we able to still use the phone with other sim cards ( other providers) ?

    & as i know it, there are some providers that flash the phone to embed their own software into the device. How could I remove / undo that , so it seems like OEM FACTORY settings from NOKIA ? or is there no such thing? Thanks!
