Unlocking a Nokia E61i can be free when using a Nokia unlock code. So why unlock a Nokia E61i cell phone? First off, by unlocking your Nokia mobile phone you will be able to use it with any GSM or SIM based phone carrier you wish to. This means you can keep your E61i cell phone and use it with a different carrier when your contract is up. Or better yet, maybe you are wanting to travel abroad and will need your phone. Whatever your reason is, unlocking your phone can save you a lot of time and money. So let’s get started.
First you will need an unlock code for your Nokia E61i. My previous instructions talk about how to attain a free Nokia unlock code for your phone. Once you have attained a free unlock code for your cell phone you can begin the unlocking steps. Again, I must stress this can be done free. Don’t go off and pay for high priced unlocking instructions. Even if you happen to have a slightly different Nokia model, etc, chances are I have already provided some steps on our site somewhere. Alright without blabbing on anymore, here are the steps to unlock your E61i:
Warning: Entering more then 2 incorrect unlock codes in your cell phone could permanently lock it!
(Make sure you have no SIM card in, or have an UNACCEPTED SIM card in your Nokia E61i first)
1. Type #PW+
2. Enter your unlock code
3. Now type +1#
4. Your Nokia E61i should say “SIM Restriction Off”
5. Enjoy your fully unlocked Nokia E61i!
