A Motorola PEBL VU20, U6, and U3 can all be unlocked the same way. To unlock any Motorola PEBL you will need a Motorola unlock code. By unlocking your Motorola PEBL you will be able to use it with any GSM phone network you want. The Motorola PEBL VU20, PEBL U6, and PEBL U3 are all SIM phones that come with a SIM lock by default. You can usually get a free unlock code for your Motorola PEBL by calling up your phone carrier and requesting one. I have heard many people having success with both T-Mobile and AT&T using this method. In exchange, the phone carrier will request your Motorola’s IMEI number, which you can easily acquire by typing *#06# and hitting “OK” or enter.

*If the display does not read “Enter Special code”:
2. Press and hold the * key until an entry box is displayed.
3. Type *, #, 3, 2, # and press “OK”
4. Enter your Motorola unlock code and press “OK.”
5. Your Motorola phone should now display either “Completed” or
“Deleted”
