How To Unlock Motorola CLIQ

Want to unlock a Motorola CLIQ? Unlocking the new Motorola CLIQ takes a few minutes and a Motorola unlock code. it doesn’t work in my cliq, i press and hold * but no entry box show up
I followed your instructions for unlocking my Moto Cliq but don’t seem to work. I never come to a place where it asks for an Enter Special Code window or if a press * nothing happens. I do have an unlocking code from the carrier.

I’m having the same issue. I tried calling T-Mobile and they told me that at this time they can’t process my request. I also tried CellUnlockStore.com and after 3 days they told me that they couldn’t calculate the code. Could someone recommend a web site that will?
Also, the *#32# doesn’t work. I did some research and the reason why the “Enter Subsidy Code” screen wasn’t showing up is because I have a SIM Pin on my card. You just have to remove the SIM Pin and reboot the phone. After that, now the screen does come up.
All I need now is the unlock code :S
please i have the same problem. can’t unlock my moto cliq with moto blur(mb220)…please help. i am in nigeria now and my nigeria sim cards are not working with the phone.

awesome..thanks for the guide, i got my unlock code at ebay for 22 bucks. reboot my phone with different sim and it says enter sim network unlock pin..i put the unlock code i got from ebay and thats it!!

Hi, i already have the unlock code, but when i reboot the cliq with the unaccepted sim card, it asks me to enter pin code of the sim, i enter my normal pin code and it recognizes it, but it doesn’t connects to the network. There is no unlock window, or any place in which i can enter the unlock code. Help Me Please!

Boot phone without any SIm card inserted:
GO TO EMERGENCY DIALER> ENTER #073887*
THEN PUT THE UNLOCK CODE!!
Once you unlock the phone, how do u get on another carrier? For example, I have my Cliq with Tmobile but I want to use it on AT&T because they have 3G service in my area. There’s a option in the settings to select AT&T as the service provider, but it doesn’t work (because my phone isnt unlocked yet). Once i unlock it, can I simply select them as my provider, even with a tmobile sim? Or do I have to buy a new sim from AT&T?
I’m ready to throw this fone. I’ve tried about everything to get my second cliq to unlock, I have a valid sim but it won’t read the card-why? The retailer put sim n a diferent fone and it worked so why won’t it read on my cliq? Help
Truth about Motorola and CLIQ
I live outside the US and I bought a Tmobile CLIQ second hand from an online auction site. The previous owner got the unlock code from Tmobile so it worked with local gsm provider for a while.
One day I received a message informing about an update which I accepted. It could not finish the ota update complaining about not being able to mount a file.
I had to wipe the phone using the recovery menu.
Motorola live support pointed me to the manual update, which again failed in the middle complaining about failing to verify signature of the update file.
Again, I had to wipe the phone using the recovery menu.
After that, the phone has started informing me about the update that it will not able to finish EVERY HOUR.
I cannot turn the notification off and the phone is practically useless.
Motorola refuses to help any further because I am outside the US. There is no local Motorola office.
My mistake was to trust Motorola brand and buy its supposedly global, gsm phone.
If you live in the US, Motorola might be OK as a local brand, but if you have the slightest possibility of using it overseas, DON’T BUY Motorola phones.
I REPEAT. DON’T BUY MOTOROLA PHONES IF YOU WILL USE THEM OVERSEAS.

i need to know some things, i am from to Mexico, o bought a moto dext (mb200) from ebay, all good, but the cellphone not recognizes any simcard, i have one of t-mobile USA and nothing happen, i put others simcards (TELCEL & movistar) and not appear the rquest for the subsidy unlock code, anly with the comands #073887* but it says: sim network unlock pin, this is the same that the subsidy code or what indicate: sim network unlock pin, i pay 4 an unlock code but they can´t calculate it, what can i do?
don´t work, y enter the code #073887* , aftr, the unlock code and nothing……
Anybody got a solution for a hardlocked cliq? Mine won’t recognize any type of sim card. I think the previous owner may have used the wrong unlock code (provided by tmobile)
