BlackBerry Style 9670 UnlockedUnlocking a BlackBerry Style 9670 requires an unlock code and only a few steps. An unlocked BlackBerry Style 9670 will work on any SIM card based phone network, such as AT&T and T-Mobile. In order to fully unlock your BlackBerry Style 9670 you will need to an unlock code. This unlock code will remove the SIM lock that comes on many SIM based BlackBerry cell phones by default. Once this SIM lock is removed, you will be free to use your BlackBerry Style 9670 with any GSM or SIM card based mobile phone carrier you wish.

Getting an unlock code can be free often if you call up your BlackBerry Style 9670 phone carrier’s support line. Request an unlock code and in exchange they will need your phone’s IMEI number, which on a BlackBerry Style 9670 you can simply get by typing *#06# and hitting send or enter on your keypad. Your BlackBerry Style 9670′s IMEI number is used to calculate your BlackBerry unlocking code. If you do not currently have a carrier or cannot get a free one, then I would suggest you review some of the unlock code websites I have provided later in this guide.

Getting a free unlock code by requesting it from the carrier may not always work. Alternatively, I recomend trying to find your code by using an instant unlock site or service.

  1. hi, you’ve mentioned:
Once this SIM lock is removed, you will be free to use your BlackBerry Style 9670 with any GSM or SIM card based mobile phone carrier you wish.

The phone can be used on any GSM network ?? can it use to web browsing and support HSPDA 3.5G? 4G?

It seems that there is no GSM SIM card slot in the phone, so how the phone use the SIM card?

I am so curious because I like this phone very much but here we only have GSM network.

  2. If the BlackBerry Style 9670 you have is a CDMA based device and doesn’t have a slot of a SIM card then you will probably not be able to use with the GSM carriers in your area. However, from the specifications I have seen the device is GSM based, but there may be multiple versions out there. If you are unsure, I would recommended you call up your cell phone carrier and ask them. Good luck and I hope this helps!

  3. Hello I was wondering if I could use this phone with a mexican carrier? I already have a Blackberry 8520 so if I insert my SIM card in the phone will I be able to use it with the same features that my 8520 has? such as BBM, Facebook.Twitter etc. my carrier is Telcel by the way

  4. My 9670 definitely doesn’t have a SIM card slot. Does this mean it is CDMA based? If so can it still be unlocked to accomodate other CDMA networks in my area or is it permanently locked?

  5. i got a bbstyle 9670 which does not have a SIM card slot. is it possible to exchange it for one that has a sim card slot.
