Samsung B5722 Unlocked

March 10th, 2010

Unlocked Samsung B5722The Samsung B5722 unlocked will work on any GSM phone carrier. Unlocking a Samsung B5722 yourself can save you a lot of money versus paying for the pre unlocked version of the B5722. Furthermore, if you have already paid for the cell phone and want to switch carriers, etc, you will need to unlock the phone. Essentially, all GSM or SIM based phones come with a SIM lock on them by default. This SIM lock will prevent the phone from working with other phone carriers then the one you activated it with. This unlocking guide provides some instructions that should help you unlock your Samsung phone in no time.

First off you will need an unlock code for your Samsung B5722. Sometimes you can attain a free unlock code from your phone carrier by calling them up and requesting one. However, this is not always the case and you may need to look for a cheap one from an online vendor. Regardless, this should be cheaper then paying for the pre-unlocked version of the Samsung B5722. Here are some instructions that should help you on your way. Good luck!

How To Unlock Samsung B5722

1. Power on your Samsung phone without the SIM card in.
2. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (where CODE = your unlock code)
3. Phone will display “Network Lock Deactivated”
4. Your Samsung phone may auto reboot.

BlackBerry Slider Unlocked

March 5th, 2010

BlackBerry Slider UnlockedThe BlackBerry Slider has been rumored to be released this coming quarter and unlocking the BlackBerry Slider will probably be very similar to unlocking other phones made by RIM (the makers of BlackBerry phones). Like any GSM or SIM based phone you will need an unlock code to unlock your phone. You can usually attain a free unlock code by calling up your phone carrier and requesting one. In exchange they will want your BlackBerry Slider’s IMEI number which you can get by typing *#06#. There are also no official prices on how much a pre-unlocked BlackBerry Slider will cost, but like many phones I suspect it will be cheaper to unlock the phone yourself. Please note the free instructions below have not been tested as this phone has not been released yet. But they tend to work on most BlackBerry phones.

How To Unlock BlackBerry Slider

1. Turn off the Wireless Radio
2. Next go to Settings > Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
3. Now, hold down the ALT key and press the keys that correspond to: m e p d
4. Next hold down the ALT key again and press the keys that correspond to: m e p 2
5. You should see a menu where you can put in a 16 digit code and 10 tries to punch it in correctly.
6. After you enter in the code, press Enter.
7. It should say “Device Unlocked” and you have an unlocked Blackberry.
