Hi Marc, thanks for posting. Sometimes the phone carriers, such as Fido will not give out the unlock codes because they technically don't have to, but some networks such as T-Mobile and AT&T are really nice about handing them out, since they have you in a contract, etc. I checked and I would recommended checking out <a href="http://www.globalunlock.com/affiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=96" rel="nofollow">Global Unlock</a> to get an unlock code for your Vivaz, as the other website I normally recommend only support a handfull of SE phones (from AT&T). The unlock code vendor above will refund your money (as stated on their homepage) if you cannot get the unlock code to unlock your SE Vivaz. I hope this helps you and gets you headed in the right direction. Take care and good luck!

Hi Derek,
First, I'd like to thank you to publish this article.
Ok, I am on Fido carrier and did call them for a unlocking code which they didn't provided, sure... as you mentioned above.
However, I want to unlock my SE Vivaz so I can use on my business trips to Brazil.
Down here, I can get a pre-paid SIN to work in most telecom companies.
The carriers already sells the device unlocked, since is a right granted by law now.
So, the sites you mentioned in your article will really work?
Thanks, Marc

Hey Charlie. Yes The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro should be unlock able on Fido, considering Fido is a GSM or SIM card based carrier. Hope this helps. Good luck unlocking your phone!

Have you tried calling up your current phone carrier for your Vivaz? If you don't have one, then you may have to unlock your phone via some professional software or something.
