This short tutorial will show you how to remove your HTC HD2 battery. Unlike many other smartphones from HTC, the HD2 does not have a traditional hinge on the bottom, back of the phone. Instead the hinge to open the back plate, is on the side of the device. Additionally, since the hine is very small, it is hard to get your fingernail in there and could in fact hurt you when trying to do it. Therefore, we have included a few short steps on how open the plate and remove your battery a little easier.
Steps For Removing HTC HD2 Battery
- Hold your HTC HD2 face down.
- Put your right thumb (if right-handed) on the bottom of the phone for leverage.
- Now use your left index finger to press up on the hinge simulatenously as your pushing down with your right thumb.
- Now your back plate should snap open. Simply remove the battery now.
