In recent news Samsung announced a new 16GB version of the Samsung YP-P2 Personal Media Player. Included in this upgrade, the new 16GB YP-P2 will be packing a 3-inch WQVGA screen, which is of course touchscreen as seen in the old 8GB YP-P2. It will also boast new Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, as well as offer H.264, OGG and WMV file support and playback. We think these new features are going to make Samsung’s new 16GB Personal Media Player a great competitor of Apple’s iPod Touch.

In retrospect, the new 16GB YP-P2 will still offer the same great featuers found in the 8GB YP-P2, such as: 3 inch touchscreen display, built in FM radio, and services like Rhapsody and Napster for online music. The new Samsung YP-P2 will be aviable in 3 colors: white, red, and black. Starting at only $249.00 on Wigix, Samsung’s new personal media player is a great alternative to other devices like Apple’s iPod Touch.
