Motorola Quench Unlocked with Unlock Code

The Motorola Quench can be unlocked with a Motorola unlock code. By default all GSM or SIM based Motorola phones come with a SIM lock. This SIM lock will prevent you form using your Motorola Quench with any phone carrier you want. At this point many people will simply go out and pay for a high priced Motorola Quench that comes unlocked. However, you can manually unlock your Quench simply by following the unlocking instructions provided below.
First you will need an unlock code. You can get your Motorola unlock code by calling up your phone carrier and requesting one. In exchange, they will probably request your Motorola Quench’s IMEI number, which you can find by typing *#06#. Now you can begin unlocking your Motorola phone:
How To Unlock Motorola Quench
1. Reboot your phone with an unaccepted SIM card in.
*If the display reads “Enter Special Code”, enter the unlock code and press “OK”
*If the display does not read “Enter Special code”:
2. Press and hold the * key until an entry box is displayed.
3. Type *, #, 3, 2, # and press “OK”
4. Enter your Motorola unlock code and press “OK.”
5. Your Motorola phone should now display either “Completed” or
“Deleted”
The Motorola Quench will be available to purchase in the USA sometime during the first quarter of 2010.
