Motorola Droid X Unlocked (CDMA)A Motorola Droid X unlocked in theory could work on any CDMA network. My goal in this guide is to explain ways the Motorola Droid X can be unlocked. First off, unfortunately the Motorola Droid X is a CDMA based phone and essentially does not use a SIM card to connect to its carrier. Since the Motorola Droid X is being offered by Verizon Wireless, you can note that Verizon only carries CDMA phones. Some carriers support both and other only support GSM (SIM card based) like T-Mobile and AT&T. With GSM phones you could normally just get an unlock code for your Droid X, but you will need to override the software in the phone to unlock it. This will require you hooking it up to your computer and using some USB flashing software for your phone. Once the mobile phone is officially released, we will probably have more on how to unlock this phone, but the flashing software does not exist yet. Stay tuned!

How To Get An Unlock Code

Getting a free unlock code by requesting it from the carrier may not always work. Alternatively, I recomend trying to find your code by using an instant unlock site or service.
