The LG Thrive unlocked is something we think will be possible when it is released. The LG Thrive is a new GSM or SIM card based cell phone from LG that is planned to be released soon alongside the LG Phoenix. Since these phones are indeed SIM carded devices, they may come with a SIM lock, preventing them from working with any other carrier besides AT&T. To remove this SIM lock, you should be able to use one of the unlock code generation sites provided below. Since the Thrive hasn’t been released, we cannot confirm whether the device is locked, but like many phone in the past, it probably will be. Stay tuned as we learn more!

Getting a free unlock code by requesting it from the carrier may not always work. Alternatively, I recomend trying to find your code by using an instant unlock site or service.
