To unlock a Sharp FX you will need an unlock code. Our Sharp FX unlock guide has the steps to unlock your mobile phone to any GSM carrier or network. By default, most SIM card based phones have a SIM lock preventing form working with any phone carrier other then the accepted one. Therefore first off you will probably need an unlock code for your Sharp FX. You can sometimes get a free Sharp unlock code by calling up your current carrier and simply asking for one. They will probably need your Sharp FX’s IMEI number in order to generate the unlock code. You can find the IMEI number by typing in *#06# on your phone and hitting the send key.

1. Turn on your GSM mobile phone with an unaccepted SIM card.
2. The cell phone should request your unlock code or request a password of some sort.
3. Now enter your unlock code.
4. Your mobile device may reboot and should be fully unlocked!

Since the Sharp FX is not actually out quite yet and will probably be released on July 25th, 2010, these unlocking instructions are preliminary. However, these instructions generally work on most GSM based mobile phones and since the Sharp FX is a GSM phone, they should in theory work.

How To Get An Unlock Code

Getting a free unlock code by requesting it from the carrier may not always work. Alternatively, I recomend trying to find your code by using an instant unlock site or service.
