Unlocking the Motorola Xoom wifi appears to becoming an issue with potential Motorola Xoom tablet buyers. According to a Best Buy advertisement for the new Android tablet clearly states that in order to activate the WiFi on the Motorola Xoom you will have to buy at least one month of data subscription from the carrier (Verizon Wireless). This obviously has probably upset many potential customers of the Motorola Xoom, but none the less it will be interesting if other unlocked Motorola Xoom’s become available.

Additionally, I am not sure if this means you can purchase one month of carrier data plan and then stop your service and still use WiFi. If anybody has more insight or questions on the Xoom WiFi lock, please feel free to leave them as a comment below. Thanks and God bless!
