2. Bring up the LG Viewty keypad on the screen.
3. Now type, 2945#*990#.
4. Next, a menu will pop up and select SIM unlock.
5. Enter your unlock code.
6. Your LG Viewty KU900 should reboot automatically and your done!
And now you have yourself an unlocked LG Viewty mobile phone. If you do not have an unlock code, you should probably try to contact your phone carrier first. Many websites suggest paying for an unlock code, but I feel this is unnecessary.

Hey just wondering i found a LG viewty and i cant return it anywere cause it was on a pathway and it has no sim in it it turns on and stuff and when i put a sim card in it it says unlock pin and to put sim in it how to i make it work so i can put any sim card into it ? thanks
Hey hannah, try using an LG unlock code generator. Otherwise, it will probably still work, but only through the original service provider. It does appear to be asking you for the unlock pin. So you should be able to unlock the phone, you will just have to acquire an unlock code first. Good luck!
Hi all, hope someone can clear up my issue. I have followed nasoors step by step to unlock my KU990 Viewty phone. Much pleasure that it worked first time for me, that was on the Model “A”. I then found another phone but it was the model “D” and so when i went to follow nasoors instructions this time round it goes to emergency mode only & says that USIM locked. Even when i insert my simcard it says the same thing, USIM Locked, what does USIM stand for again i forgot!! So can someone make me understand why i can’t unlock this phone like the previous phone? James, I would suggest calling up your current phone company to get an unlock code. This is normally free and probably the easiest method. Otherwise, this unlock code vendor is very reliable for unlocking your cell phone. Good luck. Also note, that you will want to boot your phone up with either no SIM card inserted or with an UNACCEPTED SIM card from the phone carrier you wish to switch to.

Please admin i have an lg ku990viewty phone produced for Orange. I can use any network but the wap and internet are locked to Orange how can i unlock that. i am in nigeria , there is no Orange network here.
