How To Unlock HP Cell Phone

These unlock instructions show how to unlock a HP cell phone using an unlock code. It is actually easier then most people think, but getting an HP unlock code is normally the most time consuming step of the whole ordeal. Before we get started unlocking your cell phone, let’s lay out the basic premise. Essentially, any HP mobile device that is GSM or SIM card based comes with a SIM lock on it. This SIM lock with prevent the cell phone from working with any other phone carrier then the default one. Therefore, by removing the SIM lock we can use it with anyone we want (as long as its a GSM carrier, such as AT&T or T-Mobile).
So first thing is first, we must acquire an unlock code for your HP cell phone. You can sometimes get a free one by calling up your current phone carrier’s support number and requesting one. They will in exchange want your mobile phone’s IMEI number, which you can get by typing *#06# and hitting the enter or send key on the keypad. Once you have gotten your unlock code you can begin the unlocking steps I have provided below.
Unlocking An HP Cell Phone (SIM Unlock)
1. Power on your HP cell phone with a not allowed SIM card.
2. If phone asks, enter the PIN code of your SIM Card.
3. Now phone will ask you to enter your unlock code.
4. Enter your 8-digit unlock code.
5. Your HP cell phone is now fully unlocked!
